SPOT: Will Lockheed run the clock out on F-35’s ALIS subsystem ATO?
2 WEEKS LEFT
The F-35 joint program office issued a one-year Authority to Operate (ATO) in March 5, 2018 for its Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS 3.0). The F-35 Assessment and Authorization Working Group only authorized an atypical one vice three year HIGH RISK ATO.
There is about 2 weeks left until the ALIS 3.0’s ATO expiration. Original reporting was from Inside Defense April 13, 2018. The article described 11 cybersecurity shortfalls (“provisions”) that must be met by the program office and prime contractor to maintain its certification.
So what will happen next?
